Looks like you could also get some information from the Transfer Agent. If the stock trades it would have to have a transfer agent and someone would have to be paying the transfer agent.
If most of the stock is in the hands of a few then this might be a good candidate for a reverse merger. They typically look for a company where they have or can get 95% plus of the stock to do the deal. If they have almost all of the stock and you happen to own some of the 5% that they dont't have you can sometimes do really well.
