...i first want to say...and please hear me good...im NOT doubting anyones salvation....i cant know if a person is truly saved or not..that is between them and God. We can pull the wool over other peoples eyes and many times even fool ourselves but of course there is no fooling God. What i want to ask this morning is this. Are you saved...are you born-again...do you really and truly have a personal relationship with Jesus...or...are you actually just as lost as you ever were? We can play act the christian role...we can do all the right "stuff"...say the right things....we can seemingly in the eyes of others and even in our own eyes think we are save...but...are we really? Are we sure that we are sure that if we died today...we would really and truly go to heaven...or...would we split hell wide open? When we look at ourselves...i mean deep within..what do we see? Do we put our Sunday go to meeting clothes on on Sunday and go to church and get all warm and fuzzy and are on our best behavior...then...the rest of the week we act pretty much like the world? When we are around christian friends do we act one way and when around our unsaved friends we act another way. Are there things in our life that go on behind closed doors that we would gasp if others knew? The thoughts bouncing around in our head...the words coming out of our mouth...do they reflect a heart filled with the Holy Spirit are is satan grinning at what he sees. For me...during my nightly walk i spend that time in fellowship with God...sometimes i get to thinking on hell and how horrific it is going to be...i mean really thinking about hell and in depth i think about the word "Forever". i have actually stopped before and got on my knees and said...Lord...am i really Ok here...if i died right now do i have a home in heaven? Look folks...its not that i doubt my salvation...its just that the reality of hell scares the hell out of me and ill tell you up front...theres not much in this world that i bat a eye at as far as being afraid. So...think about the scriptures i posted today....where are you really and truly headed. Once we slip into eternity..there are no "do-overs"...Forever means forever!
