No, I have no timelines for their work. It's fun imagining the challenges they are working on and I wish I could be a part of it. It is historical work imo and if successful will be studied by scientists for years to come.

The thing that keeps me here is the linear fashion that the progress seems to make. They are increasing efficiencies steadily as time marches on. When they are ready to unveil the prototype it will just be the stage that they are currently in. It will never be a finished product but will always be improving and being tweaked imo.

Does anyone here know the time period the patent will protect them? Is it 7 years or??? And does the protection begin when the patent was granted or when they make a commercial go of it?
