Stevia is a plant that grows naturally and has been used for hundreds of years as a sweetener. Two years ago I purchased some Stevia seeds and grew a couple of plants. If you pick a leaf and chew it, to me it tastes exactly like table sugar but without the calories. It is not a chemically derived sweetener created in the lab but naturally occurring.
