These high talent individuals have specific skill sets that would be wasted being spent in one place. Likely, they would not even be usable on a full time basis by a company like Lightwave. Take Lebby for example, make no mistake this is not a full time gig for him. He has commitments and positions throughout the industry. This makes him more useful and more effective IMO. These people don't work a 9-5 job they can quit to go strike it rich at Lightwave. This isn't 1849, and they're already rich. It isn't the money that drives them, it's the progress and prestige that comes from accomplishments and breakthroughs in their field.
