Google Chrome Issue or Java Issues

This means that you are probably using Chrome. It was probably working fine last week or so. If this correct, you probably had an older version of Chrome before the Sept 2015 release which is the version they stop supporting plugins. Your Chrome may have done a recent update where the new version does not support Java. Instead, you can use Internet Explorer or Firefox to keep using Java. Before you do, you may have to go in to your Control Panel to uninstall all the instances of Java that you see. **Note, if you have older versions of Java (example Java 7 update 71 or older 8 update 73 or older) please make sure that none of your software that you use daily require an older version of Java before uninstalling it. Once you do, you may never put it install it back.**

Updating Java:
If you do not have any software like that, then you can uninstall all the instances of Java. It will be under your Control Panel / Uninstall Programs or Programs and Features. Click on Java and then at the top press the uninstall button. Once you have uninstall all the versions of Java, restart your PC. Once you are logged in you can use either Internet Explorer or Firefox to open www.java.com. Click on the red button Free Java Download, then click on the red button again that says Agree and Start Free Download. Depending of what browser you are using, IE will prompt you at the bottom to Run or Save. Click on Run. Firefox will download the file, click on the arrow on the right side on top of the screen which is pointing down. You will see the file jxpiinstall.exe. Run this file and it will guide you through the installation. Once completed it will prompt you to verify the installation of Java in a different tab or window. Once verified, you can then restart your PC once more. At this point once your computer is up and running, you can use IE or Firefox to open the either www.ih.advfn.com or www.advfn.com whichever site you use to log in. Go ahead and try your level 2 or your charts with the Java settings. It will ask you if you want to allow and run Java, you will press OK. It then should populate with your level 2 or charts.

Using HMTL5:
If you want to keep using Chrome, then you have to use different settings on our site. Please log in to our site at www.ih.advfn.com, at the top right hand side you will see Settings next to Home and Logout. Once you are in Settings, on the right side of the screen you will a couple of settings options, please click on Data Tools. If you log in to www.advfn.com, you will click on Config which is located at the top right hand side below Boards above World Exchanges buttons. This will open another windows with a Settings box. Make sure that the Settings are set to Streaming using the drop down menu. You will see at the bottom Monitor, Quote, Trades, Level 2, Portfolio and Charts. If you will continue to use Chrome, use the drop down menu to set the settings to HTML5 and then press OK.

Now go back to Monitor or Streamer and click on the ticker symbol of the companies that you watch to test your level 2 or charts.
