But Apollo lake has definitely shown up in recent slide decks.



Apollo Lake is official and will be in the market in 2H 2016. Intel has a whole pipeline of Atom CPUs that are aimed at low-cost PC processors (Gemini Lake, then I believe Mercury Lake is the follow-on to that), don't expect those to go anywhere.

p.s. it's interesting that Intel is naming everything after lakes. Makes it a little trickier to figure out whether a code name belongs to Atom or Core based PC processors/platforms.
