I understand that the Feds are investigating Marineo and his claims that he is the SOLE inventor of the Calmare technology. Apparently, there are a couple of other Italian inventors who are none to pleased to see that GM is claiming that ONLY he has a claim to the technology.
That alone will negate his claims to a 510-k marketing clearance.
Marineo is known to be a bit of an eccentric non-business man who has done more to discredit his reputation and put up hurdles o Calmare's acceptance.
If he could just work together with people, things would have gone much smoother. (So says his Italian colleagues who developed Calmare with him).
Sad, but true.
