Agree & today the manipulation was blatant IMO.
I always look at the market internals for clues to what the demand for a stock really is. "Slapping the Ask" is one of the most reliable indicators IMO. Believe it or not the Buy Volume / Ask percentage for the day was at 54% (which is Strong) around 3:15pm. This was despite the first two trades at 9:30am being 2 short sale blocks totaling more than 45,000 shares (talk about headwinds lol).
The FINRA daily short sale numbers for GALE Monday are 60.9% of total volume. The massive shorting during the last 10 minutes dropped the Ask percentage all the way down to 47.2% for the day. Incredible.
Another curious observation was how the pps was kept in check when the Buying Volume was 52-54% for several hours. This is where the MM manipulation comes in to play. Slapping the Ask normally beats aggressive short selling except when the playing field is not level.
Monday trading on the Ask 734,984 shares(47.2%), trading on the Bid 557,502(35.8%) & trading in between 265,210 shares(17.0%).
One Long's Opinion. GLTL
