The vast majority of Intel's SSD revenue comes from sales of drives to server/data center customers; the company doesn't really participate much in the consumer drive market anymore outside of niche, very high performance drives (think SSD 750 series PCIe drives).

Indeed, the consumer drive market is a bloodbath in terms of margins (it's better than trade NAND but nowhere close to the fully-loaded PCIe SSDs it sells into workstations/data centers) and there are many very fierce competitors.

The reason we know more about Micron's, I suspect, is because most consumers don't really care about the $1K+ SSDs that Intel will field into the data center. The companies that "need to know" about the company's future SSDs likely already know what they need to know.
