Someone automatically thinks because a "big" company does a patent infringement it automatically equals a "big" payout.... not so...


If I had a dollar each time that is touted on the Hub I wouldn't need to trade stocks.
So call me skeptic...

So if they had a patent worth fighting for? because that is what you have to do in corporate America... Fight for it! The fact they settled out of court shows they probable didn't get proper valuation for what ever that may be... Now WHY?

I will say that SFOR did request a jury trial which usually ups the ante... smart!
But these big corps have litigation teams that absolutely know what the opponent has going on. They have ongoing mergers and acquisitions and that most definitely requires Securities analyst coupled with Securities Attorneys, Counselors, & Litigators.
You don't think they look at their balance sheet and say hey these guys have had 3 RS in the last 2 years and say to themselves. Lets beat them into the asphalt! (these cute cuddly guys would do it to their grandmother on Christmas break)
They come in and offer them a settlement price and new terms or we will continue to use your product for free meanwhile our team will just drag out to the point you absolutely run out of money.
What lawyer would work on a case without required benchmark payments when you are going against one of the biggest companies in the world?
NONE - simple as that.
