Isn't it great that modern appliances run so efficiently. Fortunately here in the southern tier of NYS I haven't had to use my generator but I do start it a few times a year to be certain it's ready to go. It have both battery and recoil start.

Mine's portable so I'd have to wheel it out of my detached garage down the driveway to just outside one cellar window so could attach the gas hose and power cord to the basement connections.

I view it as though it's an insurance policy, hate to pay for it yet hope I never have to use it!
