You should have seen the rubbish NASDAQ listed on their lowest tier back in the Dot Com days. Plenty of OTCBB with organized crime connections and no real earnings. With the end of the bubble in early 2000, hundreds of NASDAQ stocks failed or were bumped down to the pinks.

One of my investing rules is to avoid smaller NASDAQ stocks and certainly their lowest rung. New investors should absolutely stick with the NYSE.

3,000 REAL stocks on the NYSE are plenty to select from. NYSE scams are extremely rare. And Yes, I know about Enron and Arthur Andersen.
