Think about this. An air traffic controller starts to nod off and an alarm alerts another party. How many times could this have possibly happened and luckily the controller woke up before anyone knew he dozed off? Worse yet, how would you like to be flying on that plane the controller was supposed to be monitoring? Wouldn't you feel a lot safer knowing the airline industry was using technology to keep that person that is guiding your plane, alert and awake?
