Questions about buy/ sell positions and bid/ask size movement.

I've been trading stocks for a few months now and have a few questions about line positioning as well as the movement of bid/ask sizing.

For instance say you buy a penny stock at a price of .001
Then you immediately place a sell order for .002
Does this place you at the front of the line (or near the front of the line for when/ if that stock reaches that price?)

Also I've placed LARGE buy/sell orders and both bid and ask prices but the size of the bid/ask has not changed. Why is that?

Lastly I want to clarify something please correct me if I am wrong. The bid size is how many want to buy at said price and the ask size is how many want to sell at that price?
