Throwing my 2cents into the mix. As a licensed aircraft mechanic, and as an aircraft parts inspector, the concept of creating a part and having it F.A.A. certified as it is made is beyond anything in the current aviation industry. Previously out of 100 or so parts manufactured, one would need to be destroyed to see the inside of the part to check it's integrity. For metals there are also less invasive eddy current testing or radiographic techniques and more. These are very time consuming and costly. I cannot stress enough the huge leap that just happened in technology. This is the same difference as between the wright brothers and Boeing. Here I live in Las Vegas and don't Gamble. With SGLB, I am all in.
