Hence the "Small claims court" as $7,500 is the limit. I have used small claims to recover $7,500 and obtain a judgement many times in lieu of spending $250K and 4 years to collect as much as $50K.

Can't believe anybody would try to laugh off the small claims division as it is becoming about the only available method of recovery for Joe Citizen.
