"The company has received emails today asking how this two year study compares with the competition. Our apologies for the oversight on the subject --- The competition markets petri plates that generally must be stored in cold (refrigerated) storage, with their product expiration being 3-1/2 months
Today a noted third-party research facility and laboratory submitted a research paper titled: "An Assessment of Time and Temperature on the Shelf-Life of Agar Plates Vacuum-Sealed under Nitrogen" for publication in a peer-reviewed science and technology journal. The research was performed by a third-party research lab that, under ongoing contract restrictions, cannot be named. Once the paper is published, the laboratory and the authors will be evident.
To summarize the results: The research demonstrated the exceptionally long shelf life under standard and extreme conditions, with a minimum of two years at room temperature observed as agar shelf life packed in FlatPacks, and durability to at least 30 days when exposed to temperatures of 140+ degrees Fahrenheit (60 degrees Centigrade) following the Department of Defense Method Standard for Environmental Engineering and Laboratory Tests (MIL-STD-810G; Climatic Category A2- Basic Hot, Hot desert)
While this study demonstrates the long-term shelf life to at least two years for standard agar packed in the FlatPack packaging, internal tests at NanoLogix have shown shelf life for agar of four years and two months to date."
