in regards to QMmeltpool, the great thing about being involved in new technology is seeing other companies creating their own interpretations of what quality assurance means to them.

cola said this in the last phone conference; that over time standards will evolve.

in addition, I wouldn't want SGLB to be the only quality assurance software out there. by having different choices, quality will improve over time thus increasing the speed at which adaption of AM can occur. I equate it to a monopoly. holding all the cards is good to a point; but allowing others to showcase their QA creates competition and therefore creates even better products. the PC and Apple are competitors yet theyre doing just fine; bumpy road to get where they are, but everything turned out great.

in the end, I am confident in PrintRite, DEFORM, inspect, analytics, and eventually Thermal. as time goes by, and we see more and more companies creating their own quality assurance software, it means there is a need for quality assurance, which means there is still a need for SGLB. I would be worried if no one was coming up with their own software because then it would mean that there isn't a demand for it.

over the course of 5 - 10 years, we are going to see a mini dot.com bubble forming IMO.. numerous companies popping up claiming they have the best quality assurance software. but in the end, 99% of them will fail leaving only the best. and while I am slightly biased, I see no reason why SGLB cant be one of the remaining 1%. I wouldn't be invested otherwise.

lets go august 7! give me some rev's!
