This is (indeed) my biggest concern or maybe better termed 'question' here FM.

why so long and why two similar phase 1 studies for same issue

Is the issue just low enrollment in the Navy wing of the study? Or is there some other aspect or set of aspects that the new partner is going to focus on - and it's not just a question of horribly slow enrollment?

Hadn't thought of the funding angle though - good point. One advantage to the CRADA is that - other than providing the Multikine to their lab - it was relatively cheap for CVM to do.

I would hope that the 'new' Phase I would be both relatively inexpensive, AND come in under the coverage of that funding you point out.
