When will the VICTIM CRAPOLA stop and personal responsibility begin?
There are signs in the parking lot.
Signs all along the trail.
Signs when you reach the cave.

But nooooooooooooooooooooooo!

These idiots went in the cave anyways risking the ones lives who rescued them and now the families saying more could be done?

Really?

How about you pull your head out of your butt and read the signs the cave is unstable.

Most people even in the coldest years don't go in there because there is no way of knowing.

Once again watch for the lawsuit coming ..............

U.S. Forest Service closes trail to deadly Big Four Ice Caves

VERLOT, Wash. - The trail to the Big Four Ice Caves, where a woman was killed and five people were injured Monday, has been closed by the U.S. Forest Service.

The closure comes after the family of the woman who died, Anna L. Santana of Moreno Valley, Calif., criticized officials for not doing more to keep people away from the dangerously unstable ice caves.

The Forest Service issued the order Friday, closing the trail, the ice caves and the surrounding area from the South Fork Stillaguamish River bridge to the end of the trail.

The area is closed until further notice.

Lt. Monte Beaton of the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office said Thursday that Santana died of blunt force injuries to the head and torso when the ice caves partially collapsed as she was inside.

Santana's cousin Sandy Gomez said she's angry that authorities didn't do more to keep hikers from entering the cave, especially since they knew a portion of the cave collapsed just a day before Santana was killed.

Five others were hurt Monday afternoon when the Big Four Ice Caves partially collapsed, including Santana's brother and fiance.

Two remain hospitalized at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle on Thursday. Hospital spokeswoman Susan Gregg says a 25-year-old man is in critical condition in intensive care while a 35-year-old man is satisfactory condition.

Thousands of people each year take the one-mile hike to view the snow and ice formation about 70 miles northeast of Seattle.

Eleven-year-old Grace Tam was killed in a previous collapse of the ice caves in July 2010.
