m3s, Maybe he's thinking about the money Nokia had set on the side in case they lost a infringement suit? We know MSFT when they bought Nokia they too assumed Nokia's liabilities so is it possible MSFT got that money that was set aside?

I'm pretty sure it was over 500 million.
