To add to its coal resources in Kentucky, and to broaden its footprint in hydrocarbon energy sources, Liberty has entered an acquisition and production program in Louisiana and Northeast Texas. Liberty's current holdings, the Gamm lease, in Caddo Parrish, Northwest Louisiana is typical of the targets that Liberty is in the process of bringing online in the area.
