elcot told me in email that 4 companies where in race for the contract for india's meters... thats all they said! they did also say a tender was in order to pick the final company, but hasnt been finalized or released!

I emailed a scooter company in india 3 or 4 monthes ago, and he said drivers were very unhappy to have to pay for any expenses related to the meter!

He did say the government was impounding scooters left and right for illegal taxi's
