What management has done is something they've done before, and until they have success with a drug approval, they could do it again. The real problem is that management has sufficient control through institutions who'll work with them that they don't need to convince individual investors as to why a reverse split is needed.

The weakness in the share price gives them a reason to split at the higher ratio to assure they maintain $1. They'll probably shoot for $2 or more.

This is truly a buying opportunity if you believe they'll have success with the drug. If you don't believe, it's a mistake even being here.
