I've been following this a looong time. Here's how I understand it.

GCS-100 is what Platt created out of citrus pectin prior to getting the boot from that company. He then formed PRW and made GM-CT-01 (Davanat) out of gaur (a legume product commonly used in things like ice cream). Platt then got the boot from there and PRW(PRWP) became GALT. They created a different version, GR-MD-02 made from apple peels. The big advantage of GALTs products over GCS-100, all being complex polysaccharides, is the size of the molecule. As I understand it, GCS-100 molecules have a huge variation in size, LJPC-1010, if I got it right, is just GCS-100 filtered so that the molecules in it are more consistent in size. It's just a filtered version of GCS-100, but still having a significant variation in size, which is why they call them complex polysaccharide mixtures and which is why they may find it near impossible to meet the FDA requirements. In GM-CT-01 & GR-MD-02, the molecules are created to be very consistent and thus more easily characterized as the FDA might want.

I'm going from memory here, which is less reliable with the appearance of every additional gray hair, so I may be wrong, but it is the best of my recollection and I hope helpful to understanding recent events. I would not recommend anyone use this recap to make an investing decision.
