IMO, shares are shares Pre or Post BK shares are the same. Not until there is a cut off date i.e. an "Ex-Div" date or a "Holder of record" date, where only holders of the stock on or before the stated "date" will be eligible for whatever is being offered. Or after emergence from BK if old shares are cancelled and new ones issued. Some investors use this opportunity to average down there Share cost, by picking up shares at these lower prices, but in most BK cases that is very risky. While this company has stated Assets greater than Liabilities, No one really knows how this will turn out. No one expected to be in this situation to begin with.

I am hopeful the EC will get us a better deal. Personally, I bought more shares a week after the BK announcement.
