Incomparing PLUG fuel cell fuel to other fuel cell fuels, What would the volume be of an H2 tank to hold an equivalent amount of H2, in say 10 gallons of formic acid? Formic acid has 2 Hydrogen atoms per molecule like H2 does, so the molar H2 is the same for both. Ballard, PLUG's fuel cell supplier, also makes fuel cells that run on liquid methanol. If H2 was so great, why is PLUGs supplier using methanol of their European fuel cells used in Buses?
