Penny Hypotheticals: Entry and Exits

My first couple of Penny adventures ended in a net loss. Not much... just annoying in that it was red and not green. I do better with the bouncing big exchange low priced tickers.

In doing the math on pennies, do you guys buy in at a set amount of dollars or shares? Should I be working with $100 dollar entries in order to minimize capital loss and get some small profits, or treat them like a nickel slot machine and only throw lunch money at them.

If a stock is at .005 and could possibly go to .01 what would be your entry and exit numbers?

$50, $100, $500, $5000?

Go Big with a million shares? Or Keep it in the 10k - 100k range, so if it does go south, you're not losing a lot?
