ImClone was not the first company to develop or get approval for a chimeric antibody.

Correction acknowledged.

Chimeric mabs were around for awhile but the first one approved to treat cancer that I know of was rituximab approved in 1998 to treat NHL.

Cetuximab was still widely acclaimed, even after some hanky-panky, treating a biggie initially - colon cancer.

Year after year I tell my ophthalmologist that the large cataract in one eye gives me double vision so I can see twice as much. The doctor doesn't think much of my vision and some others aren't overly appreciative. How else am I to know twice as much even though much of it is wrong?

Best, Terry
