there are many on the accessories to the printer manufacturers and they may be the place for best gains as they often supply more than one manufacturer.

For actual manufacturers I would look at Arcam (AMAVF) the only EBM printer and because it is Swedish is "under the radar". Supplies Medical and Aero industry.

IMHO DDD and SSYS are spread across to many types of printer/market which may help spread their risk but says to me the management is just shooting a shot gun across the industry not focused on one market and meeting the market leaders requirements. Less risky but then less rewards.
