The "half-empty" view is more like..."If K were showing efficacy there would be more focus on it and cohorts would advance more quickly".


My experience is the opposite. If a Phase 1 cancer drug isn't showing efficacy, they rush through it to get to Phase 2 efficacy and optimization, then rush through that to get to Phase 2b in combination. That is when the trial slows to a crawl.
