I expect the next set of lawsuits will not be against Ariad, but rather the organizations (specifically, the Ft. Lauderdale Police and Fire Department Pension Funds) that bought Ariad stock to begin with. The executors of those funds have clearly violated their corporate due diligence in purchasing such a highly speculative stock. Since the attorneys representing them lost their suit against Ariad, I expect a round of lawsuits against those pension funds will begin shortly. In fact, I've found out they have.
