One bit of a problem is in how much growth there is here. The growth of the cloud, I think, has reduced storage requirements on consumer devices. I still use the 1 - 1.5 TB drives that I've used for years for storage and backup. Yes, they would be a lot faster with SSDs but there's no need for them. I have SSDs in my laptop at 512 GB but that's probably enough for quite some time.

There's certainly a need for more flash in mobile devices and those are certainly growing but they use quite a bit less than PCs. Do you really need SSDs in the cloud? I don't think so. If they're a lot cheaper, then sure; but are they?
