Actually that's not the quote, what they said was....

“IDEX has made significant progress in building a platform for growth during 2014, with a clear focus on creating best in class price/performance underpinned by IDEX’s strong patent portfolio. We have developed a groundbreaking fingerprint touch sensor and acquired a powerful proprietary matching algorithm.

They acquired it, they didn't develope it. I think it's a pretty safe assumption that it was acquired from BKYI.

In fact it sound like great news, if BKYI is providing the algorithm for every sensor they sell, that should produce a lot of revenue with a very high GPM.

Nice catch.
