Senior Research Associate/Associate Scientist, In-vivo

Job Description

The research group of Momenta Pharmaceuticals is searching for successful candidate to be an integral part of a team to support our Follow On Biologics (FOB) and New Drugs programs. Prior hands on experience of in vivo models for disease specific autoimmune and inflammatory disease models (for example: RA, IBD and fibrosis) as well as short-term inflammation models (for example: DTH, air pouch, LPS/elastase induced lung inflammation) is highly desirable. Additional responsibilities include ex vivo characterization of primary immune cells, serum and tissue samples. The candidate will have to excel in a fast-paced matrix environment, be highly collaborative, creative, self-motivated and flexible.
Required Skills

*Ability to set up, plan, and execute and troubleshoot multiple in vivo efficacy and other PoC preclinical studies.
*Hands on experience in isolation and ex vivo characterization from animal models to determine mechanisms of action and monitor for markers of efficacy is a plus.
*Plan, execute, analyze and report experiments, write reports; collaborate with others within and outside the group.
*The candidate must be a Team Player and must be able to collaborate with other team members across a range of disciplines.

Required Experience

*BS degree with a minimum of 5+ years of experience or MS with 1-2 years’ experience in disciplines such as immunology, cell/molecular biology or pharmacology.
*Strong knowledge in immunology with an emphasis of signal transduction pathways in inflammatory and autoimmune diseases.
*Independent self-starter with ability to multitask and deliver quality results in a timely manner.
*Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively work in a team.
*Strong writing and presentation skills.
*Proficient in the use of standard software programs (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, GraphPad) for basic statistical analysis.
