Understand your concerns.

My 40 years was in sales of electrical products for new construction and all classes of trade otherwise. BSEE here, not that this board cares (LOL) but the products from time to time would have warranty issues.

There were even times a manufacturer would pull a product off the market for a short time when they found something serious.

So, when warranty issues occurred, what counts is resolving the incident to the customers complete satisfaction, in other words, take something that is a negative and turn it into a positive.

Pulling a product off the market can be presented as a positive too, by telling your customer product improvements/enhancements are being made which you'll benefit by.

As I said...a sales guy...lol.

Pulling this off the market is a blonder no matter how you slice it, but my take is it was the right thing to do for the LONG term.

Many years ago, I was exposed to hepatitis (don't recall the type?) from food containing lettuce at a Jack-in-The Box. A warning was on the news, in the paper, on radio, place was shut down and a big sign on the bldg to get a shot at no charge at xyz clinic, call #xyz for an appointment.

After a thorough cleaning, health department inspection passed, employee receiving medical care and no longer employed, they re-opened and the business even had increased sales...I'm serious. Why? It was the cleanest fast food place it town in peoples minds.

A negative became a positive, and JiTB stepped up to the plate to the customers satisfaction.

This board is probably tired of the way my brain works, but I feel WBSI's app will be better for it.

As far as people getting the same thing free...impossible. This patent has no competition....remember the poster who stated here lots of companies have the same thing and it's free? I asked him for the names of the companies...never replied or posted again that I recall.

That's my take...sticking to it.
