I remember that a toxic finance company saying that bad things occur if there was a delay in reporting to in order to drive stock prices down. Short sellers also make non events look like events. It does not logically matter if the reports are out one week later , two weeks later or a week early. The fact remains that larger companies have their finance work done by the accountants in that line of work ahead of smaller companies for one reason or another. Sometimes, it could be totally different reasons that could not be understood by average investors for one reason or another unless anyone is directly involved in the process.
