I bet your hunch is right. either gs or one of their dark pools, or subsidiaries, or friends are buying. Or maybe they are trying to win ibank business from airwatch or other bbry competitors. Regardless of motives, the conflicts of interest for GS to release analyst reports are vast.
Besides this point, GS's downgrade is completely short term in nature. They discuss the next earnings release...but lose sight of the big picture. What i'm trying to say is, GS may be right in short term (next qtr). BBRY's best quarters are ahead of them though
