lowers the tax bill. You bulild and test as many sub-assemblies as the production schedule allows and then do the final assembly and system test when you need to ship product. If you have a large backlog to work on (say 1170 units) the planning is easier because you have enough workers and can cross- train them to do any task. The hard part is keeping parts deliveries on schedule with no money in accounts payable because of the protest.
