Like most companies, not everyone is an expert in all the fields of business - hence there is a board and senior management. Where one person is weak in a specific area, another board/management person fills in the gap. This is very common in business, government, etc... its why people have advisors and consultants as well. Dan not having a lot of experience in one or two areas isnt a big deal - assuming your comment is accurate to begin with. He might be bringing something to the team that wasnt there before - drive, ambition, and direction.... I am fine with him not holding all the cards...
