I have to ask how much this safety equipment costs. I agree that Hoyos should be able to lend them fire extinguishers, suits, helmets and so on ... but perhaps he doesn't have a chute.
I have half a mind to see if people want to donate money towards safety equipment, with the provision the car has to run within 60 days. That shouldn't be any problem for an Army contractor and supplier to Combilift, especially since the engine is mounted in the car and we couldn't imagine anyone doing that if it wasn't fully tested, could we?
I'm sure DocJ, diviniety and ebarneyins would be glad to sign up for a couple of grand apiece!
