Poland to analyze Universal Energy's offer for KW mines - TreasMin
Poland will analyze the offer of Universal Energy for the purchase of three mines of ailing Kompania Weglowa, Treasury Minister Wlodzimierz Karpinski told Polsat News broadcaster.

"We are interested in the offer and we will thoroughly analyze it," Karpinski said on Polsat News tv station.
Poland has received signals on interest in the mines from other Polish and foreign entities, but so far has received no formal offers, Karpinski said.
Universal Energy engineering said on Monday it was interested in buying KWK Brzeszcze, KWK Sosnica-Makoszowy and KWK Bobrek Centrum mines with a view to continuing mining operations.
The firm has requested a meeting with Kompania Weglowa management on the matter.
At issue is a government restructuring plan for ailing coal miner Kopmania Weglowa, which entails shutting down four of its fourteen mines and transferring another nine to an SPV to be run by coal trader Weglokoks.
Universal Energy is a Myslowice-based technological and engineering company operating in energy and mining sectors, according to the firm's website.
