The 8k they filed yesterday mentions voting on a reverse split if that's what it takes to get over a $1 so as not to be delisted. I think they want to have that option if they need it, but they're not going to need it.
They're looking for acquisitions (or mergers) according to previous filings. I bet they merge with another company that adds massive value to the stock, have a secondary offering and go over $1 a share. All of this will happen before April. That's my assumption, it explains all the buying.
