The one very small silver lining from this is the increased awareness of the need for facilities that can handle an epidemic like this, and the training and upgraded equipment that some hospitals have instituted. Maybe next time the developed countries won't sit on their hands when there is a horrible outbreak like this in Africa. This is going to have ongoing tragic consequences for decades in Liberia, where there are now so many orphans, and very little infrastructure to care for them.
