I queried John about both the first and second referenced articles in separate emails.
1. I asked if ASure is part of the Design Shelter package. Answer: No.
2. Based on MZEI PRs and the articles referencing a partnership between Design Shelters and MZEI, I expressed my concern (red flag) as to why ASure was not part of the package. Did Design Shelters make a business decision to not include any sterilization capability, go with a competitor or some other possibility? Answer: John didn't address the concern.
3. Based on past PRs and statements in the articles, I suggested MZEI should address this. Answer: John didn't address the suggestion.

I believe that John is the messenger and MZEI greatly restricts what he has authority to release. Having walked in his shoes, I am not going to shoot the messenger. I do believe MZEI should provide more open communications, good or bad. I also agree the conflicting information between the two articles and MZEI leads many to believe "something is not Kosher in the deli."
