Related to demand charge savings in New York , the avoiding an extra $100 a month for kilowatt use above 2000 kWhs per month in demand charges is possible if you have a small business with the monthly use of 2000 to 2500 kilowatt hours. In addition to the kilowatt/hours generated from a 5 kW system, one would be able to avoid the $100 surcharge if the monthly kilowatts/hours use was brought down to below 2000 kIlowatt/hours per month.
