UPDATE:...After 8 days in the hospital the doctors decided that mom could be moved to a skilled care facility...a fancy word for nursing home. Actually she really isnt much better but as we know...with Medicare and supplemental insurance through Humana...they pretty much dictate the criteria for being admitted and discharged to some degree. She is still infected with the MRSA and still on high octane antibiotics. Half the time she is in her right mind and half the time disorientated and even at times hallucinating a little from the infection. She is 77. They think she could be in the nursing home for as much as a month but as we also know folks are all different. The hospital and nursing home is like 50 minutes from my home so i am running back and forth but for me that is no big deal. God has a plan and i have faith in His will be done!
