How about people choosing a dead planet over a live one, Massive?

Not as easy a call as you seem to think though it's hard to bet against you with any assurance

There is considerable evidence that global warming was a primary contributor to the Great Dying some 250 million years ago. Nearly all life on the planet was extinguished.

Even further back methane-eating bugs exterminated themselves when they converted a methane-rich atmosphere to an oxygen-rich atmosphere.

Even in the science-denying lunatic asylum of North America, the threat of global warming is gaining ground and polls show most people are beginning to believe again in science rather than fantasy.

Renewable energy stocks are doing rather well overall though the great undependables, wind and solar, are doing best. It's still an uphill climb to spread the good word.
