Anyone who makes the statement: "short sellers affect markets", is correct, but we're talking about short selling by a specific group, the bondholders and they are not doing it...because it makes no sense for them to do so. Why take on a risky short position when you can book an instant profit by converting and selling risk free?

What ????? It is obvious to most people that they take out short positions because they ,the toxic bond holders, are going to flood the market and drive the price into the sewer! They are not fresh off the turnip truck, they have seen the effect of their selling many times before so why wouldn't they short to put even more negative pressure on the SP and double their profits ?? Its a given !
